PHILOSOPHY

It is the goal of Pentwater Public Schools to make the student, regardless of his or her age, the focus of the school program and to educate and advance students to become useful and productive citizens of the world community.

MISSION STATEMENT  

Pentwater Schools will continuously focus on the education and advancement of its students.

Pentwater Public Schools is located approximately 80 miles north of Grand Rapids on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.  Its natural beauty along with access to the lake in each of the four seasons attracts visitors and families alike to this vacation destination.  Our students are provided continuing education opportunities through West Shore Community College in addition to other online opportunities through Brigham Young University.  The district also utilizes the varied services offered through the Mason Lake ISD, such as cooperative technical education programs, summer science camps, participation in the ' You Be The Chemist' competition, just to name a few!

The district consists of one (1) building housing grades K through 12 along with a co-op preschool program and daycare services for parents.  The district enjoys the support of our community through volunteering in groups such as the Parent Teacher Community Organization (PTCO), athletic boosters, band boosters, as well as tutoring in our after school homework clubs.  The district enjoys a quality heritage in the arts with our bands being invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Our school continues to be successfully accredited with NCA.  This accreditation assists PPS in meeting Education Yes and State of Michigan requirements.  Our small class sizes offer a more one-on-one approach in the classroom.  With the cooperation and flexibility of our staff, the district has been able to offer a well-rounded curriculum with qualified instructors and we have kept our accreditation intact. Most importantly, we care deeply about the students and families that we are privileged to serve!  Come and see what makes us so special!
